price, method and free tier

the method column matters as much as the price: "published only" means fewer results that bounce less; database and pattern tools return more, including people a website never lists.

tool pricing model 1,000 websites what you get how it finds emails free
Website Email Extractor (data-runner.dev) pay per website where emails are found — $0.006; sites with no email are free $6.00 at most — only the sites where emails are found are charged emails, phones and social links, one row per site with emails fetches each site over HTTP, with a real browser when the page needs JavaScript — homepage + up to 3 more pages; follows Linktree and similar bio-link pages. published addresses only, never guessed $5 Apify signup credit ≈ 830 sites with emails
Outscraper — Emails & Contacts Scraper pay per domain, tiered $3 per 1,000 after the free 500 (so ~$1.50 for your first 1,000 in a month); $1 per 1,000 past 100,000 emails, phones and social profile links scans the pages of each domain where contacts usually are, plus search-engine results and third-party sources; their docs also mention pinging common addresses first 500 domains

PhantomBuster — Email Extractor subscription by monthly execution time — from $56/month billed annually (20h) not per-URL priced — depends on how much execution time the run takes; see their pricing page email addresses into a CSV reads the page at each URL you give it; their docs say it only finds emails published on that page, not deeper pages 14-day trial, 2h execution time
Mailmeteor — Free Email Extractor free free, but one website at a time email addresses found on the site crawls the site you paste and follows internal links 100% free, no sign-up

competitor prices are the public list prices on 2026-09-28, monthly billing unless stated. where a cost for 1,000 websites depends on how many emails each site has, we say so instead of inventing a number.

when to pick which

the honest version

Website Email Extractor

you already have the URLs, you run lists regularly, and you want what each site publishes — emails, phones and socials — without a subscription. it renders JavaScript and follows bio-link pages. it will not find people a site doesn't list.

Hunter or Snov.io

you need named people at each company — the head of marketing, not info@ — with a confidence score and verification built in. their databases find addresses a crawler never can. you pay monthly, and outreach tools come bundled.

Outscraper

you want the cheapest per-domain price at scale and are fine with extra discovery methods (search engines, third-party sources) alongside the website itself. the free 500 domains a month is generous for testing.

Mailmeteor, PhantomBuster or our free tool

you have a handful of sites, not a list. Mailmeteor and our free extractor do one site at a time for free; PhantomBuster fits if you already pay for it for LinkedIn automations.

got questions

FAQ

What is the cheapest way to extract emails from a list of websites?+

For small, one-off lists, Outscraper's free 500 domains a month or a free single-site tool are hard to beat. For regular lists of a few thousand sites, pay-per-result pricing without a subscription is usually cheapest: the Website Email Extractor costs at most $6.00 per 1,000 URLs — it charges only for the sites where it finds an email — and Outscraper $3 per 1,000 domains after its free tier. Subscription tools like Hunter or Snov.io make more sense if you also use their database and outreach features.

Why do different tools return different emails for the same website?+

Because they use different methods. A crawler like the Website Email Extractor only returns addresses the site publishes. Database tools like Hunter return addresses they have seen anywhere on the public web, plus pattern-based guesses scored by confidence. Some tools also check search engines or ping common addresses like info@. More results is not always better: guessed addresses bounce more often.

Which tool finds emails of specific people, not just info@?+

Database tools — Hunter and Snov.io — are built for that: they return named people at a company with their role. A website crawler only finds the people a site chooses to list, which for small businesses is often a generic inbox.

Do I need to verify emails extracted from websites?+

Published addresses bounce far less than guessed ones, but inboxes get abandoned. If you are sending at volume, verify first. Hunter and Snov.io include verification; the Email Verifier & Enricher Actor does it in bulk, and there is a free single-address check at data-runner.dev/free-email-verifier/.
